Land of Lincoln Credit Union is owned by you--the members. For this reason, we refer to our customers as our members. Money deposited into your regular share account is referred to as "shares" because of this ownership status. All members must have at least $25 in a regular share account. By having a "share" in the Credit Union, a member is eligible to apply for all services offered. Each $25 on deposit in a regular share account constitutes one share in the the Credit Union. Each share is equal to one vote used to elect a volunteer Board of Directors at an annual meeting of the membership. Members may attend their annual meeting or choose to cast their votes by proxy. The elected Board of Directors serve and govern the Credit Union.
Once you have joined the Credit Union, you are a member for life regardless of where you have moved or are employed.
Membership is open to:
1. Anyone who works or resides in Macon, Shelby, DeWitt, Christian, Piatt, Clay, Effingham, Coles, Moultrie, Jasper, Cumberland, Fayette , Bond, Montgomery, Douglas, Edgar or Clark counties.
2. Immediate family of a current member of the Credit Union, regardless of residence.
3. A current employee of any of the following Sponsor Groups*.
Land of Lincoln Credit Union always welcomes new employee groups regardless of location or occupation.
