The Money Market* account is a share account that has a higher minimum balance requirement and pays a higher rate of dividend. There are three levels of deposits and dividends. The three levels are $2500 to $9999, $10,000 to $24,999, and $25,000 and over.
In addition, Money Market accounts:

require a minimum balance of $2500

have a minimum deposit and withdrawal requirement of $100
-
have a limit of 6 withdrawal or transfers per month**
-
allow only 3 of the 6 withdrawals to be made by check**

*All savings accounts are insured to $350,000 and all IRA's are insured up to $500,000. That is a combined total of $850,000 if both types of accounts are maintained at Land of Lincoln Credit Union. **Limited by Federal Law to 6 (six) preauthorized transactions per month (checks, telephone, wire or ACH transfers) and only 3 (three) may be payable to a third party. Excess withdrawals are $20 each and may require that the account be closed.
