LLCU Donates $2,500 to Evans Public Library District in Vandalia

Decatur, Illinois, April 7th, 2021– Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) presented a $2,500 check to the Evans Public District Library in Vandalia, Illinois yesterday to contribute to the library’s ongoing New Building Fundraising project. Additionally, LLCU committed to the sponsorship of a “Budgeting & Finance” shelf in the new library once construction is completed.

“Reading and education is a fundamental part of the journey toward achieving personal financial dreams and financial freedom,” stated Robert Ares, LLCU President & CEO. “At LLCU, it’s important to us that we support our local libraries so they can continue to thrive, grow, and provide the public with resources for reading and learning.”

Evans Public District Library Director, Jessie Blain, stated that they are very close to reaching their fundraising goal and she and the Board of Directors are very appreciative of this donation and welcome other businesses to help them reach their goal.
