LLCU AWARDED OUTSTANDING BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

Land of Lincoln Credit Union was awarded “Outstanding Business of the Year 2019” at the Mt. Zion Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on Wednesday, July 8th.
“LLCU has been an outstanding partner to the Mt. Zion Chamber of Commerce, as well as to the businesses that are a part of the Chamber,” stated Carolyn Ridenour, Mt. Zion Chamber President. “But most importantly, LLCU is dedicated to giving back to the community through volunteerism and monetary donations, both are actions that exemplify what this award truly stands for.”
Land of Lincoln Credit Union operates 4 branches in the greater Decatur area, as well as 7 more branches throughout central Illinois, serving over 30,000 members. LLCU is the largest Decatur-based credit union and in 2019, the employees of LLCU donated 2,226 volunteer hours and the organization made over $80,000 in monetary donations to area non-profit organizations.
“It is truly an honor that we were nominated and chosen to receive this award from the Mt. Zion Chamber of Commerce,” says Robert Ares, LLCU President & CEO. “This award is truly thanks to the employees at LLCU who make it a top priority to volunteer and donate within our communities. The LLCU family is a giving family and it was a very pleasant moment for our staff to be recognized in this way.”
