Decatur, Illinois, December 16^th, 2025– Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) announced that Rebecca Merkley has been promoted to the role of Branch Manager of the Effingham North branch (1302 N. Thelma Keller Ave.). Merkley will oversee the sales and operations of the Effingham North branch, as well as serving members as Loan Officer. Merkley has been with LLCU for nearly two years and during that time has been a successful Loan Officer at LLCU’s Vandalia, IL branch.

Prior to working for LLCU, Merkley built extensive experience serving in the banking and financial services industry assuming the roles and responsibilities of Loan Servicing, Loan Administrator, Financial Services Representative, and Member Service Representative. Her tenure included employment with Scott Credit Union, Midland States Bank, and Armed Forces Bank.

"I am very excited to step into the role of Branch Manager at the Effingham North branch,” stated Merkley. “The north branch is our newest branch here in Effingham and it is a beautiful, accessible facility and I look forward to growing our membership and services in that location."

Merkley is from the Effingham area (Beecher City) and looks forward to working closer to her hometown. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Merkley has three children and in her free time, she enjoys boating on Lake Shelbyville, traveling, thrifting, and cooking. Her office is located at 1302 N. Thelma Keller Ave. Effingham, IL, 62401.
