Decatur, Illinois, December 23, 2024 - During a recent LLCU Board meeting, an election was held to name a new Director and a new Associate Director for the 2024 - 2025 term. Tara Murray was elected as a new Director & Diane Lane was elected as a new Associate Director.

“We are very excited at these two additions to our Board of Directors,” stated Robert Ares, LLCU President & CEO. “Tara is already an established, dedicated partner of LLCU through some of our recent community collaborations, so having her join our Board as a Director is really a great fit. And Diane is already very familiar with our organization’s mission and goals, having previously served as a Director years ago and we are delighted she has chosen to re-join. There are great things on the horizon for LLCU and this Board is now filled with enthusiastic supporters."

Tara Murray is the Executive Director of Empowerment Opportunity Center of Decatur and Diane Lane is a retired from Millikin University where she served as a human resource professional. Diane previously served as an LLCU Director for several terms that were completed in 2016.
