Special Thank You to Senator Doris Turner for her Support to Delay Interchange Fee Legislation

6/3/2025 Cayla Hittmeier

Land of Lincoln Credit Union would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to the honorable Senator Doris Turner. After a meeting between the Senator and LLCU's Chairman of the Board, Tony Brown, as well as LLCU President and CEO, Robert Ares, Senator Turner leaned in to support the credit union movement to delay the pending Interchange Fee Prohibition Act (IFPA). The Senator put wheels in motion to encourage those at the Capitol to delay the Act to further address legal and legislative concerns that would ultimately negatively impact LLCU members and all credit union members.

Click the letter image below to view the correspondence sent to the Senator Turner directly from LLCU President and CEO, Robert Ares, to show gratitude for her support of delaying this legislation for greater review. This is why we have representation at our State's Capitol, so that the voice of the local business and services communities, as well as the voice of community members (such as our valued LLCU members) can be heard and important action can be taken.
