New LLCU Contactless Debit Card Coming to You!

We heard members asking for this technology and now we are delivering! The new LLCU Contactless Debit Card is heading your way, look for it to arrive in your mailbox soon. Your new card will be delivered in a plain white envelope, so please be careful not to mistake it for junk mail.
These are the features of the new LLCU contactless debit card:
- Contactless Payment: Your new LLCU debit card will have the ability to use “Tap & Pay” at contactless-enabled terminals for quicker transactions.
- Enhanced Security: Each contactless transaction uses a unique code which helps to prevent fraud and keeps your information safe from being stolen and/or reused. Additionally, by using contactless, your card never leaves your own hand.
- New Design: The new debit card will feature a revised design, which includes a sleek and unique black, gray & green wave pattern (see example on reverse side). Additionally, your personal information will now appear on the backside of the card.
What to expect next:
- Watch the mailbox for the arrival of your new LLCU Contactless Debit Card. The new debit cards are being rolled out over the next few weeks using the following criteria:
| CURRENT DEBIT CARD EXP. DATE: | WHEN TO EXPECT YOUR NEW CONTACTLESS CARD: |
| Your LLCU Debit Card Expired on June 30th. | You likely already received a replacement card of the old version. You should expect to receive the NEW contactless debit card by late July to early August. |
| Your current LLCU Debit Card expires July 31st. | Your new LLCU Contactless Debit Card will arrive by mid-July. |
| Your current LLCU Debit Card does not expire until August 31st or later. | Your new LLCU Contactless Debit Card will arrive by late July or early August. |
*IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have not used your current LLCU debit card within the last six months (an inactive card), you will not receive a new debit card.
- Activate your new card. Once received, simply follow the activation instructions included with the card and activate it at your earliest convenience.
- Update your payment information. If your LLCU debit card is used for recurring payments or subscriptions, update the card details with merchants after you activate your new card.
How to use a contactless debit card:
- Look for the contactless payment option symbols near the merchant’s payment terminal, or ask the attendant.
- Tap your card to the front of the point-of-sale device, or where it is marked with the contactless payment symbol.
- Wait for a beep, green light, or message that indicates the transaction is complete.
- Follow any other instructions on screen, you may be asked to enter a PIN.
Many merchants now offer contactless payment options!
- Gas Stations & Convenience Stores
- Restaurants
- Supermarkets & Department Stores
- Transit Vehicles (buses, taxis, Uber)
- Even Concessions & Vending Machines!
You can be confident that your LLCU contactless debit card will work everywhere around the world. But if you’re not quite ready to try “Tap & Pay” yet, you will still have the options to tap, insert chip, or swipe.
