Decatur, Illinois, May 26, 2021– A second LLCU branch in Effingham is set to open on Monday, June 6th. The newest branch is full-service and conveniently located at 1302 Thelma Keller Avenue. The facility is just over 3,400 sq. ft. and is easily accessible, as well as fully equipped with a multiple lane drive-up, multiple teller lines, and numerous private lending offices.

“Effingham is a great community, and we are so proud to be a part of it,” stated Robert Ares, LLCU President & CEO. “For quite some time, we’ve been searching for the right opportunity to expand services in Effingham and when this opportunity arose, it just checked all the boxes and made perfect sense.” He further stated, “Not only will it allow for LLCU to offer more convenience to our existing and future members in Effingham, but it will also provide employment opportunities, as we will be hiring a full-staff for this second location.”

The new branch will be under the management of long-time LLCU team member, Elizabeth Wilson, who will be relocating from the South Banker Street branch. The opening of this new branch means LLCU now has two branches in Effingham, one located at 2302 South Banker Street and now one at 1302 Thelma Keller Avenue. Having a location to the north and south of Effingham provides greater convenience to members. Service hours will be Monday -Thursday 8-5; Friday 8-5:30; and Saturday 8-12, with a 24-hour full-service ATM. This is the thirteenth LLCU branch in central Illinois.

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, coordinated by the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled at the new branch for June 13th at 4:00p.m.
